The Punjab authorities has instructed teachers throughout the province to get vaccinated by June 5.

According to a notification issued by the Punjab School Education Department, the choice was introduced on the directions of the National Command and Operation Centre.

All instructing and non-teaching workers members may have to submit their vaccination playing cards/certificates to their establishments. Those who fail to accomplish that shall be punished below the Punjab Employees Efficiency, Discipline, and Accountability Act 2006.

The notification added that the establishment’s head shall be answerable for making certain the inoculation of workers members.

Earlier this month, the federal government opened Covid-19 vaccination for all teachers above the age of 18 years. The purpose is to immunise all of the teachers earlier than the faculties reopen on Monday (June 7).

Punjab not too long ago inaugurated a vaccination centre for teachers in Lahore.

There are 16,000 teachers and 4,000 non-teaching workers within the province. Teachers may have to take their CNICs and instructing certificates to the centres. They shall be administered Sinopharm and Sinovac vaccines.
