The AJC added, “There is of course nothing antisemitic about advocating for Palestinians to have their own state. However, calling for the elimination of the Jewish state, or suggesting that the Jews alone do not have the right to self-determination, is antisemitic.”

Michael Nussbaum, president of the Queens Jewish Community Council, stated he’s by no means seen such open hostility towards the Jewish State of Israel from elected leaders and activists in New York who’re affiliated with the DSA.

“It is pure and simple. They don’t want a Jewish State of Israel. I call it antisemitism,” Nussbaum stated.

Nussbaum stated the DSA is fanning the flame of antisemitism by urgent candidates in search of its endorsement to support the boycott, divestment and sanctions motion towards Israel. He stated the anti-Jewish hate is “on the doorstep” of prime DSA-backed elected leaders together with Rep. AOC.
