Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Sunday mentioned he would be very happy if his arrest resolves the continuing Assam-Mizoram border dispute.

“I am very happy if filing an FIR against me can resolve the Assam-Mizoram border dispute. If the police gives me notice, then I will go and join the investigation. I will go from Silchar to Vairengte and will join the investigation. If the Mizoram Police arrests me, I will not go to seek interim bail from the Gauhati High Court,” Himanta Biswa Sarma mentioned.

The Assam CM’s remarks got here after the Mizoram Police booked him on charges of attempt to murder and legal conspiracy over the current violence alongside the Assam-Mizoram border on July 26 which killed six and injured over 60 folks.
